The pooling of data has many benefits, however as there are potential problems
the database needs to be managed.
9.5.1 The Database Administrator
The DBA may be in charge of a group of people known as the database
administration.
Responsibilities
- Database design
- Informing users of structural changes
- Maintaining the data dictionary
- Assigning access priviledges and passwords
- Training for users
